Hijab, sheila or scarf?

In the UAE, a sheila is the long rectangular scarf worn with an abaya, wrapped loosely around the head. A hijab scarf can be wrapped more closely, and a shawl is a wider piece worn over the shoulders. Choose a fabric with a little grip so it stays put through the day, and a length that lets you wrap it more than one way.
